UGA’s Stetson Bennett throwing first pitch at Braves’ home opener

Former Georgia Bulldogs quarterback Stetson Bennett will throw out the first pitch for the Atlanta Braves’ home opener. Bennett helped the University of Georgia win back-to-back national championships.

The Braves know a thing or two about winning championships. Atlanta won the 2021 World Series. Last season, the Braves lost in the postseason to the Philadelphia Phillies.

Now, the Braves are ready to have their home opener against the San Diego Padres. With the return of baseball and the 2023 Masters, which features eight Georgia Bulldogs competing in the event, it is not a bad week in Georgia sports.

The University of Georgia has quite a few memories with the Atlanta Braves. Jordan Davis is a big Braves fan and frequently represented them during his Georgia football career.
