Georgia Bulldogs defensive line coach Travion Scott has been on a roll. He is fresh off having three defensive linemen selected in the first round of the 2022 NFL draft. Now, Scott is among the lead recruiters courting three-star defensive lineman Tavion Gadson.
Gadson, a member of the class of 2023, plays high school football for Jenkins High School in Savannah, Georgia. The 6-foot-5, 265-pound defensive lineman recently received a scholarship offer from Georgia on May 11. The offer meant a lot to Gadson, who pinned it to the top of his Twitter feed.
The three-star defensive lineman has offers from Tennessee, Louisville, Duke, Nebraska, Minnesota, and more. The Jenkins High School star has taken recent visits to Florida State, Wake Forest, Georgia Southern, Kentucky, and more.
Tavion Gadson had nine sacks and over 25 tackles for a loss during the 2021 high school football season. He is ranked as the No. 54 recruit in Georgia in the class of 2023 and the No. 607 recruit in the country. Could he be an underrated diamond in the rough?
The three-star defensive lineman is good at shedding blocks, is strong against the run, and plays well in space. Gadson primarily plays as a 4-3 defensive end for Jenkins High School.
Gadson announced his scholarship offer from UGA football via Twitter:
