Kirby Smart and Georgia football’s biggest remaining need in the class of 2024 recruiting cycle is at edge rusher. The Bulldogs are recruiting elite pass rusher Jordan Ross in hopes of securing a top talent at the position.
Jordan Ross is close to being ranked a five-star recruit. Ross is ranked as the No. 38 recruit in the nation, per the 247Sports composite. Ross is the fifth-ranked edge rusher in the country and the fourth-ranked recruit in Alabama.
Jordan Ross plays for Vestavia Hills High School in Birmingham, Alabama. However, it is looking like Nick Saban and Alabama are not the favorites in Ross’ recruitment. The Crimson Tide did make Ross’ recent list of top schools.
Georgia,Tennessee, and Florida are reportedly Jordan Ross’ favorite schools at the moment. Georgia and Tennessee were two of the programs to show early interest in Jordan Ross.
Jordan Ross visited the University of Georgia on the second weekend of June.

The 6-foot-5, 215-pound edge rusher also plays basketball. Ross has great closing speed, acceleration and frequently harasses opposing quarterbacks. The four-star pass rusher will continue to improve his strength. Ross has good awareness and often finds himself quickly diagnosing plays.
Ross also plans to visit Tennessee, Texas and Florida in June. He is a critical class of 2024 recruiting target for Kirby Smart and Georgia.
