Sean O'Malley flaunted his wealth by leaving his wife $5,000 before flying to Abu Dhabi for his fight with Petr Yan at UFC 280.
O'Malley, 27, is set for the toughest challenge of his career this Saturday night as he faces former champion Petr Yan in a fight which should decide the next bantamweight title challenger. Yan has only lost to current champion Aljamain Sterling since joining the UFC four years ago, as the Russian looks to dethrone O'Malley's hype train by working his way back to a title shot.
Despite being ranked outside of the top-ten at 135lb, O'Malley is one of the UFC's most popular fighters and has a huge online following. It's unclear how much O'Malley makes for each of his UFC fights, but 'Suga' is clearly not struggling for money as he laid out $5,000 on the table for his wife Dayna Gonzalez before setting off to Abu Dhabi to face Yan.

"Giving Dayna a little surprise for when she gets home after she drops us off," O'Malley said on his YouTube channel. "A little $5,000 in cash and then a $100 gift card to Black Rock because I make her coffee every morning and she's sad that I'm not going to be able to make it on Friday."
O'Malley is in an open relationship with his wife Dayna, who he met long before his UFC fame. 'Suga' said he is against the idea of having one sexual partner, insisting that his wife was aware of his beliefs before they got into a relationship. "We've been together since I was 20, but the first conversation we ever had I said 'I don't see how someone can be with one person for the rest of their life'," he said on the Full Send podcast.
"I was explaining this to her before we started dating, so she knew what she was getting into before she got into it. We're in an open relationship, but I don't even want to call it that. I sleep with her every night, I choose to do that. We're in the same bed with Elena, I choose to do that because I want to."
The pair had a daughter together in late 2020 and O'Malley admitted that despite their unorthodox relationship, he would be lost without his wife. "I don't like how relationships are nowadays, it's like 'I own you, you own them', I don't want to be in that kind of relationship. I love Dayna, we've been together pretty much my entire career. She's known me since before I made money, we've got a really cool relationship. She's the f****ng best, if I lost her I'd be f****ng screwed," he added.
