Paddy 'The Baddy' Pimblett says that new Liverpool signing Darwin Nunez will score more goals than Manchester City arrival Erling Haaland this season and claims that he has complete faith in the Uruguayan record signing for the Reds.
Nunez signed for Jurgen Klopp's side for a record fee in June but is yet to hit the back of the net in pre-season, leading some fans to question the player despite playing little more than an hour of football for his new club. But 27-year-old UFC star Pimblett thinks the striker will at least match Mohamed Salah's goal tally.
Reds fan Pimblett, who fights Jordan Leavitt at UFC London this weekend, made the claim when speaking to BT Sport ahead of the event. He is on the main card at the O2 Arena on Saturday night alongside fellow scouser, 'Meatball' Molly McCann, who takes on Hannah Goldy at the event.

When asked who would be the Reds' top scorer this season, the fighter replied that the Uruguayan would share the honour with current star Salah. The Egyptian has scored 31 goals in all competitions for the last two seasons and Pimlett predicted that Nunez would be on the same level, responding: "Nunez or Salah."
"I've got complete faith in Nunez, I think he'll score more goals than Haaland this year." City signed Norway striker Haaland in a deal expected to rise to £85.5 million this summer and the comparisons between the pair will continue as the two clubs continue their battle for supremacy in English and European football.
Nunez scored 26 goals in 28 games in the Portuguese league last season for Benfica, with six goals in ten Champions League games taking the Lisbon club to the Champions League quarter finals. He scored in each leg as his side were knocked out by Liverpool in the quarter finals of the competition.
