UFC star Paddy Pimblett previously ruled out fighting in New York for tax reasons, but 'The Baddy' has now hinted he could change his mind.
Pimblett insisted after his win against Jordan Leavitt at UFC London last month that he wouldn't be fighting in the UK again until the promotion hold an event at Anfield Stadium, the home of his beloved Liverpool FC. UFC boss Dana White targeted a pay-per-view debut for Pimblett in either Boston or New York for his next fight, but Pimblett said the tax rate in New York would put him off fighting there.
When asked if he still wouldn't fight in the state because of tax reasons, Pimblett said on his YouTube channel: "No, it's just I don't know if I'll be ready by then to be honest. The card I'm thinking of fighting on is like four weeks later, that's Vegas. It's the fight capital of the world, so I'd love to fight in Vegas. I do want to fight in New York as well, we'll see."

Madison Square Garden will host UFC 281 on November 12, with middleweight champion Israel Adesanya meeting former kickboxing rival Alex Pereira in the headlining act. Pimblett's sidekick Molly McCann is also fighting on the card, which led many fans to believing Pimblett would be competing in the prestigious arena as well. Pimblett still seems set on fighting at UFC 282 on December 10 in Las Vegas, which is the promotion's final pay-per-view event of the year.
A year has almost passed since Pimblett made his UFC debut, with the Liverpudlian shockingly being guaranteed just £9,500 for his first two fights despite being one of the promotion' most popular fighters. 'The Baddy' is now now being paid "f***ing big money" and also has a seven-figure deal as a brand ambassador for Barstool Sports on top of his UFC contract.
Pimblett admitted he wasn't planning on fighting at UFC London in July and has guaranteed he will compete at least once more before the calendar year is over. "I wasn't planning on fighting at UFC London, I was planning on fighting a few weeks after that but I ended up fighting so we'll see, you never know. No matter what, somebody else is getting their head punched in before the end of the year," he added.
