UFC star Paddy Pimblett has piled on pounds as fighter scoffs boxes of cookies

Paddy Pimblett is enjoying his time away from the octagon with the UFC star piling on weight whilst his ankle injury heals.

'The Baddy', 28, hasn't fought since he controversially beat Jared Gordon at UFC 282 last December. Pimblett limped his way out of the octagon that night after damaging his ankle in the first round and has since undergone surgery for the injury. Likely sidelined for the rest of the year, Pimblett has been able to eat what he wants as he is unable to train due to still being in a cast.

In a recent Instagram, Pimblett tried different flavours of Girl Scouts Cookies and fans were quick to spot the weight gain in his face. "Jesus Christ bro is huge," one user commented. "My boy ate the scout that was selling the cookies," another wrote before a third commented: "I don't think I have ever seen a fighter eat themselves out of a weight class before."

Pimblett's ankle injury could see him on crutches for three months as he told Sky Sports : "It was a lot worse than they [doctors] thought. I had to get inner and outer ligament surgery, reconstruction. So it's big. I have already been on the crutches for six-and-a-half weeks, it could be another six weeks. I'll be lucky to fight this year."

"I hurt my foot in the first round, the first minute or two, threw a kick and hurt it. I felt it but cracked on and got through the fight. At the end of the fight I can remember going back to the medical room and saying, 'My foot's sore here'. I couldn't get it looked at properly until I got back home."

Pimblett has called for a rematch against Gordon when he makes his UFC return despite beating the American in their fight. Gordon has claimed that many of Pimblett's fans messaged him to say he won and 'The Baddy' has been constantly trolled by fans online since the fight with many labelling him as "Gordon's son".

'The Baddy' sent an expletive-fuelled message to Gordon just moments after waking up from ankle surgery a month ago, stating on his YouTube channel: “I hope he watches this. You’re f****ng dog s***. At my worst, you couldn’t beat me at your best. Injured, everything going wrong, and you couldn’t beat me on my worst day and I beat you on your best, because you’re a little bum. I want to punch his head in toward the end of the year. I am going to run it back."
