UFC’s Paddy Pimblett: ‘When I come back, everyone will be sucking my arse again’

Paddy Pimblett expects UFC fans to be back on his side once he’s booked his next fight.

Unbeaten in the octagon, Pimblett (20-3 MMA, 4-0 UFC) is coming off a controversial unanimous decision win over Jared Gordon at UFC 282 last December. Pimblett thought he’d done enough to win the fight, and many weren’t happy with his reaction.

Prior to that, Pimblett was one of the most popular and beloved fighters on the roster, and “The Baddy” admits that he has something to prove going into his next fight.

“I can’t wait,” Pimblett said on his YouTube channel. “I’m hoping to fight before the end of the year to be honest, kick some little fart’s head in. I was sh*t in my last fight, lad. It was a bad performance. I’ve said it myself, you’re only as good as your last fight, and I looked sh*t. But when I come back, everyone will be sucking my arse again.”

Pimblett underwent ankle surgery in March for an injury he sustained in the Gordon fight, which is expected to sideline him for a lengthy period of time. The 28-year-old had previously said that a 2023 return is doubtful, but now that he’s back in the gym, he’s hoping to squeeze a fight in by the end of the year.
