UFC legend Michael Bisping 'chokes out' YouTube star Jaackmaate with MMA submission

Retired UFC legend Michael Bisping welcomed Jaackmaate to his world by 'choking out' the YouTube star.

Bisping appeared on the 'Happy Hour Podcast' after the recent release of his documentary. The film explores Bisping's turbulent journey through MMA that led him to winning the UFC middleweight title in 2016.

'The Count' was explaining the possible ways in which an MMA fight can be won when Jaackmaate - whose real name is Jack Dean - asked if Bisping could demonstrate a "chokehold" on him. Reluctant to do so at first, Bisping agreed and showed him how to execute a rear-naked choke.

"So there's many different chokes, but this is called the rear-naked choke," Bisping told Dean as he guided him through the choke. "Relax, right give me your throat, you want to show it. You grab there and then you grab your bicep," he added before Dean quickly tapped out.

Bisping retired from fighting in 2017 after suffering eye issues following his knockout loss to Kelvin Gastelum. His career was plagued with eye issues after his retina was detached in a knockout loss against Vitor Belfort in 2013.

The Brit admitted that following this injury UFC boss Dana White told him his career was over. It wouldn't be the case as he continued to fight for four years and became the first-ever British fighter to win a UFC title.

"I didn't think it was the end of the road, I was certainly shocked at that moment in time," he told Mirror Fighting about the phone call with White. "Dana's been a great friend to me over the years, so I knew he was coming at it from several different angles.

"He was like 'Mike, let's cut straight to the chase. You're never gonna fight again.' I was trying to fight back the tears because that was my life. It was tough, but I didn't know what to think.

"I went and spoke to a doctor and they confirmed what Dana said, but they also gave me a glimmer of hope at the same time. In very rare occasions, they said they have seen people's vision improve."
