' UFC Strike' marks the launch of the promotion's partnership with blockchain company Dapper Labs this Sunday, a deal that will see fighters receive 50 per cent of revenue for NFT sales.
The promotion's partnership with the company was officially announced in 2020, but it will launch the day after their first pay-per-view of this year in UFC 270.
UFC Strike will kick off with an opening round of 100,000 “Fully Loaded” packs that will cost £36 each, with each pack in the drop consisting of three "NFT Moments".
It will feature highlight-reel moments from UFC fights that include the likes of Francis Ngannou, Amanda Nunes and Kamaru Usman.
"These NFT Moments will include the best action shots from multiple camera angles, announcer commentary and crowd response from actual fights," a statement read.
"With robust audio and video content, each UFC Strike Moment NFT is designed to capture, memorialise and celebrate a specific instance of UFC history".
Dapper Labs are the company behind blockchain-based trading card systems NBA Top Shot, NFL All Day and Cryptokitties.
If an NFT is sold featuring a knockout from a specific fight, the two fighters involved in the bout will split 50 per cent of the sales for that NFT.
In addition to the launch, TSN reports that heavyweight champion Ngannou will be a brand ambassador for UFC Strike.
Ngannou partnered with the popular mobile payment service Cash App earlier this week, a deal that will allow him to convert half his UFC 270 purse into bitcoin.
UFC Senior Vice President of Global Consumer Products Tracey Bleczinski said the promotion was "thrilled" to launch their NFT partnership.

“Dapper Labs is an innovator in this field, creating an industry that didn’t exist a few years ago,” Bleczinski said.
"Their vision for the potential of these products is the reason UFC chose Dapper Labs as its first NFT partner. We’re thrilled to finally be able to offer these amazing digital collectables to enrich the UFC experience for our fans.”
Head of Partnerships at Dapper Labs, Caty Tedman, said partnering with the UFC was the next step of bringing people into "experiencing the benefits of decentralisation".
She also added the partnership is a "meaningful experience" for long-time UFC fans to "collect and own the moments that matter to them".
