UFC Fight Night 246 took place Saturday, and MMA Junkie provided live round-by-round coverage and official results. UFC Fight Night 246 (pay-per-view, ESPN+) took place at Rogers Place in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada.
In the headliner, former flyweight champion Brandon Moreno (22-8-2 MMA, 10-5-2 UFC) took on rising contender Amir Albazi (17-2 MMA, 5-1 UFC). In the co-feature, former women’s strawweight champ Rose Namajunas (13-7 MMA, 11-6 UFC) met Erin Blanchfield (13-2 MMA, 6-2 UFC) at flyweight.

Blanchfield now pressing a little more, both taking turns. Blanchfield opening a lot more with her strikes, but Namajunas still with the higher vlume. Namajunas’ jab is on point tonight. Round 1 – Romanov shoots early, and presses Nascimento against the cage. And there’s the takedown. Romanovs controlling from turtle position. Nascimento back to his feet, just to get slammed back down. Nascimento in turtle position by the cage. Knees to the legs by Romanov. We’re halfway through the round. More knees to the legs by Romanov. Nascimento gets back to his feet, but gets tripped. Romanov working from half guard, not really landing much. The crowd growing restless. Final minute. Crucifix by Romanov! He lands some shots! Romanov goes for a key lock but, Nascimento gets out. Romanov ends the round on top.

Round 1 – Jabs by Gibson. More, more jabs by Gibson. Anheliger fires a hard leg kick. Gibson closes the distance and presses Anheliger against the cage. Horth scrambles her way back up, and reverses Petrovic. She nos presses Petrovic against the cage. Horth gets a trip and takes down Petrovic. She takes Petrovic’s back!
