The UFC is back in its Las Vegas home base with bantamweight contenders at the top of the lineup in “Sin City.”
Here’s how to watch UFC Fight Night 233 with 135-pound standouts in action.
Broadcast and streaming info
UFC Fight Night 233 has a main card that begins at 10 p.m. ET on ESPN+. The prelims stream on ESPN+, as well, beginning at 7 p.m. ET.
Main event: Song Yadong
Song Yadong (20-7-1 MMA, 9-2-1 UFC) fights in his third straight main event when he takes on Chris Gutierrez at bantamweight. The six-time UFC bonus winner, who trains at Team Alpha Male, is just 26 and was set to take on former champion Petr Y an until Yan pulled out with an injury. He’s had mixed results in his two UFC headliners. He had a doctor’s stoppage TKO loss to Cory Sandhagen 15 months ago, but bounced back inApril with a fifth-round TKO of Ricky Simon to give him four wins in his past five fights.
Main event: Chris Gutierrez
Chris Gutierrez (20-4-2 MMA, 8-2-1 UFC) had an eight-fight unbeaten streak snapped earlier this year with a decision loss to Pedro Munhoz. It was his first loss in 4.5 years. But less than two months ago, he bounced back with a decision win over Alateng Heili and now will try to add a second major name alongside Frankie Edgar to his wins list.
Co-main event: Anthony Smith
It’s been a mixed bag of results for Anthony Smith (37-18 MMA, 12-8 UFC) since he lost a light heavyweight title shot to Jon Jones nearly five years ago. Including that decision setback, Smith is just 5-5 the past four years. But he snapped a two-fight skid with a win over Ryan Spann in August and now has a shot at two straight with an upset after he stepped up on about two weeks’ notice for Azamat Murzakanov, who pulled out with pneumonia.
Co-main event: Khalil Rountree
Khalil Rountree (12-5 MMA, 8-5 UFC) has majorly turned his UFC prospects around. The “TUF 23” finalist started 4-5 in the promotion, but over the past two years has four straight wins, including three by knockout and two post-fight bonuses. All four of those wins for Rountree – Modestas Bukauskas, Karl Roberson, Dustin Jacoby and Chris Daukaus – came at the UFC Apex in Las Vegas, so he clearly is comfortable there.
UFC debut: Talita Alencar
Talita Alencar (4-0-1 MMA, 0-0 UFC), from Brazil, had to settle for a draw in her fight on Dana White’s Contender Series in September, but she still found a portal into the promotion through that series. The Florida-based fighter finished her first three pro wins by rear-naked choke under the Titan FC banner before an LFA decision win over Kelsey Arnesen in April. She’ll take on a fellow Brazilian debutante in Rayanne Amanda.
UFC debut: Rayanne Amanda
Rayanne Amanda (14-6 MMA, 0-0 UFC) had a fight on Dana White’s Contender Series in 2022, but lost a decision to Denise Gomes, who now is in the UFC. After that, Amanda has won three straight, including back-to-back decisions for Invicta FC earlier this year. Against Alencar, she meets a fellow Brazilian also making her UFC debut.
UFC debut: Carlos Vera
Carlos Vera (11-3 MMA, 0-0 UFC) fought on Season 31 of “The Ultimate Fighter” earlier this year, but dropped a decision to eventual winner Brad Katona – though it was an exhibition fight not counted on his record. Officially, he has a four-fight winning streak heading into his UFC debut, including back-to-back guillotine choke wins for Fury FC. He meets the unbeaten Daniel Marcos (15-0 MMA, 2-0 UFC) in a bantamweight bout on the prelims.
