UFC Fight Night 229: How to watch Dawson vs. Green, start time, Las Vegas lineup, odds, more

The UFC stays home in Las Vegas with lightweight contenders at the top of the lineup for the second straight week.

Here’s how to watch UFC Fight Night 229 with 155-pound standouts in action.

Broadcast and streaming info

Brendan Fitzgerald, Laura Sanko, Michael Bisping

UFC Fight Night 229 has a main card that begins at 7 p.m. ET on ESPN+. The prelims stream on ESPN+, as well, beginning at 4 p.m. ET.

Main event: Grant Dawson

Grant Dawson (20-1-1 MMA, 8-0-1 UFC) has been on an absolute tear for seven years. His only blemish in that time is a majority draw with Ricky Glenn nearly two years ago. Other than that, it’s been just short of a dozen wins, including eight in the UFC. On the heels of a July decision win over Damir Ismagulov, Dawson has another standout in front of him in Bobby Green (30-14-1 MMA, 11-9-1 UFC).

Main event: Bobby Green

Bobby Green (30-14-1 MMA, 11-9-1 UFC) got a much-needed win ini July when he finished former interim lightweight champion Tony Ferguson with six seconds left with an arm-triangle choke. Prior to that, he had a no contest to deal with from an accidental head clash with Jared Gordon, and a pair of losses to current champ Islam Makhachev and Drew Dober. To stay on track, Green will have to hand Grant Dawson the first loss of his UFC career.

Co-main event: Abdul Razak Alhassan vs. Joe Pyfer

Joe Pyfer (11-2 MMA, 2-0 UFC) continued to impress in April when he took out Gerald Meerschaert with a first-round TKO. It was his fourth straight win, including two in the UFC. At around 5-1, he’s the biggest betting favorite on the card in his middleweight fight against Abdul Razak Alhassan (12-5 MMA, 6-5 UFC), who got back in the win column in January after a fourth stretch of four losses in five fights.

A big head-kick KO got Joaquin Buckley (16-6 MMA, 6-4 UFC) back in the win column in May after back-to-back losses. He’ll go after two straight when he takes on Alex Morono (23-8 MMA, 12-5 UFC), who got his own finish in May with a submission of Tim Means.
