PARIS – MMA Junkie was on scene and reporting live from Friday’s official UFC Fight Night 226 weigh-ins.
The early weigh-ins took place at the UFC host hotel and preceded the ceremonial weigh-ins for the fans, which take place at 11 a.m. ET at Accor Arena. The same venue hosts Saturday’s event, which streams entirely on ESPN+.
Among those weighing in were former interim heavyweight champion Ciryl Gane (11-2 MMA, 8-2 UFC) and Serghei Spivac (16-3 MMA, 7-3 UFC), who meet in the main event, as well as co-headliners Manon Fiorot (10-1 MMA, 5-0 UFC) and Rose Namajunas (11-5 MMA, 9-4 UFC), who square off in what will be former strawweight champion Namajunas’ flyweight debut.
All four headliners made weight without issue.
There was, however, some late drama as the final two fighters to step on the scale, Nora Cornolle and Zarah Fairn, needed the hoop to hit their marks. In Fairn’s case, she needed extra time to come back and make 140 after she was originally half-a-pound over.
