First-round finishes were in abundance early at UFC Fight Night 211, and Brendan Allen wanted a piece of the action.
In what was a bout largely spent on the ground battling for position and searching for submission attempts, Allen (20-5 MMA, 8-2 UFC) flashed his brilliant BJJ skills, and smoothly transitioned to the back to lock in a rear-naked choke late in the first round that Krzysztof Jotko couldn’t escape.
At 4:17, Jotko (24-6 MMA, 11-6 UFC) tapped from the submission, marking the third-straight first-round finish on the prelims at the UFC Apex in Las Vegas.

After the win, Allen called for a matchup against Brazil’s Andre Muniz at the upcoming UFC 283 pay-per-view event in Rio, or a rematch against Anthony Hernandez, which took place before both were in the UFC in 2018.
With Saturday’s win, Allen stretches his current win streak two three, entering on the heels of a rear-naked choke win against Sam Alvey and a unanimous decision win over Jacob Malkoun.
Jotko’s loss halts the momentum of back-to-back wins over Misha Cirkunov and Gerald Meerschaert.
