Jake Paul has been mocked by MMA fans for stating he could out-strike Khabib Nurmagomedov in a crossover fight.
Paul plans to make his professional MMA debut this year and has been linked with signing for the Professional Fighters League promotion.
The 25-year-old - who improved to 5-0 in boxing last year - said he would only need to work on his wrestling for a fight with Nurmagomedov.
“I would fight Khabib in MMA if they wanted to make that offer, cause that would be exciting. That would excite me, especially if I had more time to train," he told The MMA Hour.
“That would be a massive fight. Probably a million, two million pay-per-view buys and all I would have to do is work on my wrestling skills. Cause I could out-strike him standing up.”
'The Problem Child' has since been mocked for his comments, with one user comparing the scenario to when boxing legend James Toney fought MMA veteran Randy Couture at UFC 118.
"Remember when James Toney one of the best boxers of his generation attempted to fight a former UFC champion with great wresting," they wrote.
Another user added: "If only the 29 guys who fought Khabib thought to work on their wrestling… Jake Paul MMA IQ is unparalleled".
"It's sad to think people actually believe his statements are anything else but bait. Jake Paul may be many things but he isn't this stupid," a third commenter wrote.
A final user mocked Paul for being submitted by AJ Agazarm during a sparring session in 2017: "Jake got rag-dolled and submitted by AJ and he think him working on his wrestling would help him best Khabib."
It's unlikely Paul will ever fight Nurmagomedov, with the former UFC champion retiring from competition last year following the death of his father Abdulmanap.

'The Eagle' finished his MMA career with a flawless record of 29-0 and vacated the lightweight title after defending it against Justin Gaethje for the final time.
Nurmagomedov has welcomed Paul to sign for his promotion Eagle FC, which hosted their inaugural event last weekend.
But Paul said the Russian promotion would have to offer him up to $35million to lure him into a potential fight.
“Khabib [Nurmagomedov] said, ‘We offered him a deal’ – it’s not true. They never offered me anything. Eagle FC has never even done an event," he said.
"Not to hate on anything they’re doing but I would need more than what I make in boxing to risk going into MMA right now.
“People would have to come $25 or $35million dollars to just start the conversation with me.”
