A bantamweight bout is the newest addition to the UFC schedule.
Johnny Munoz (11-2 MMA, 1-2 UFC) and Liudvik Sholinian (9-2-1 MMA, 0-1 UFC) are set to square off at a UFC Fight Night event Nov. 5. The card doesn’t currently have a publicly-known location or venue.
Two people with knowledge of the matchup recently informed MMA Junkie of the booking but asked to remain anonymous as the promotion has yet to make an official announcement.
Munoz, 29, has one UFC win to date, a submission against Jamey Simmons, that’s bookended between losses to Nate Maness and Tony Gravely.
Sholinian, 32, is a “The Ultimate Fighter, Season 29” alumnus from Ukraine. His lone UFC appearance to date was in September 2021 when he lost to Jack Shore. He was scheduled to fight in March against Nathaniel Wood but withdrew due to the Russian invasion of Ukraine.
With the addition, the UFC Fight Night lineup for Nov. 5 includes:
- Mario Bautista vs. Benito Lopez
- Nate Maness vs. Tagir Ulanbekov
- Ramona Pascual vs. Tamires Vidal
- Johnny Munoz vs. Liudvik Sholinian
