Andrei Arlovski will look to continue his surge when he takes on a Brazilian powerhouse.
Arlovski (34-20 MMA, 23-14 UFC) meets Marcos Rogerio de Lima (19-8-1 MMA, 8-6 UFC) at a UFC Fight Night event expected to take place Oct. 29 at the UFC Apex in Las Vegas.
Arlovski confirmed the news on social media after an initial report by Combate.
Currently riding a four-fight winning streak, Arlovski is enjoying his best run in years. The 43-year-old former UFC heavyweight champion already has competed twice in 2022 with decision wins over Jared Vanderaa and Jake Collier.
De Lima will look to rebound from his unanimous decision loss to Blagoy Ivanov at UFC 274. Prior to that, “Pezao” defeated Maurice Greene and finished veteran Ben Rothwell in just 32 seconds at UFC Fight Night 197 in November 2021.
With the addition, the UFC’s Oct. 29 lineup now includes:
- Edson Barboza vs. Ilia Topuria
- Andrei Arlovski vs. Marcos Rogerio de Lima
