Umar Nurmagomedov’s manager revealed that he suffered an injury early at UFC 311.
Nurmagomedov (18-1 MMA, 6-1 UFC) got off to a good start against bantamweight champion Merab Dvalishvili (19-4 MMA, 12-2 UFC) in Saturday’s co-main event at Intuit Dome in Inglewood, Calif., but was ultimately outlasted in a unanimous decision loss.
Manager Ali Abdelaziz took to “X” to show an image of Nurmagomedov’s broken hand, which he says happened in Round 1.

Nurmagomedov took to his Instagram story to show off his swollen left hand the next day (h/t za.khabiba).
Nurmagomedov was up two rounds on two of the three judges’ scorecards before Dvalishvili took over. Despite the turn in momentum, Nurmagomedov is convinced that he should have gotten his hand raised.
