LAS VEGAS – Michael Chiesa is no stranger to the rear-naked choke, and he made that known once again Saturday at UFC 310.
In a welterweight bout on the preliminary card at T-Mobile Arena, Chiesa (18-7 MMA, 13-7 UFC) tapped Max Griffin (20-11 MMA, 8-9 UFC) with his signature choke for the tap at 1:56 of Round 3.
After the fight, Chiesa called for a spot on the promotion’s Feb. 22 event in Seattle. Chiesa is a Spokane, Wash. native and has not competed in his home state since the promotion’s most recent visit in 2013.
