ANAHEIM, Calif. – The UFC 298 co-main event is locked in after Robert Whittaker and Paulo Costa made weight for their crucial middleweight bout.
After the past three UFC events featured middleweight headliners, including the crowning of a new champion in Dricus Du Plessis this past month, it’s time for former titleholder Whittaker (24-7 MMA, 15-5 UFC) and perennial contender Costa (14-2 MMA, 6-2 UFC) to take their turn to make an impression on the division.
First, however, both men had to make weight. They did just that at Friday’s official weigh-ins, with Whittaker stepping on the scale at 185.5 pounds and Costa registering that same number.

UFC 298 takes place Saturday at Honda Center. The main card airs on pay-per-view following prelims on ESPN and ESPN+.
