UFC 295 video: Jiri Prochazka, Alex Pereira under weight limit for vacant title fight

NEW YORK – The UFC is one step closer to crowning a new light heavyweight champion after Jiri Prochazka and Alex Pereira made weight ahead of UFC 295.

Prochazka (29-3-1 MMA, 3-0 UFC) and Pereira (8-2 MMA, 5-1 UFC) are set to clash for the vacant belt in Saturday’s headliner at Madison Square Garden, and the matchup is now official after both men hit their contracted marks at weigh-ins.

Former middleweight king Pereira, who looks to join the exclusive club of two-division champs, registered at 204 pounds on the scale at the host hotel during Friday’s official weigh-in session. Former divisional titleholder Prochazka, who returns from an injury that forced him to vacate the strap, weighed in shortly after at 204.2 pounds.

Check out the video above to see Prochazka and Pereira make weight for the UFC 295 main event.

The UFC 295 main card airs on pay-per-view following prelims on ESPNews and ESPN+.
