VANCOUVER, British Columbia – A potential lightweight title eliminator between Charles Oliveira and Beneil Dariush is now locked in for the UFC 289 co-main event after both men made weight.
Former UFC champion Oliveira (33-9 MMA, 21-9 UFC) and streaking contender Dariush (22-4-1 MMA, 16-4-1 UFC) both did their pre-fight duty on Friday morning. Oliveira, who’s had weigh-in issues in the past at both lightweight and featherweight, was 154 pounds on the scale. Dariush, who has won his past eight fights, was on point as usual at 156.
