NEWARK, N.J. – After booking a massive welterweight fight on just 16 days’ notice, Belal Muhammad and Gilbert Burns got the chance to size each other up on Thursday at the UFC 288 pre-fight press conference.
Muhammad (22-3 MMA, 13-3 UFC) and Burns (22-5 MMA, 15-5 UFC) will meet in a likely 170-pound title eliminator on Saturday at Prudential Center. The card airs on pay-per-view following prelims on ESPN and ESPN+.
As the momentum builds toward a crucial contest for both men, Muhammad and Burns had a faceoff after answering questions from the media and declaring their intentions to secure a title shot.
