UFC 287 video: Champion Alex Pereira, former champ Israel Adesanya make weight for rematch

MIAMI – The rematch is set.

Alex Pereira and Israel Adesanya are on weight ahead of their championship rematch Saturday in the main event of UFC 287. Pereira (7-1 MMA, 4-0 UFC), who defends his middleweight title, came in at 185 pounds on the scale. Adesanya (23-2 MMA, 12-2 UFC) came in at 184.5.

The UFC 287 official weigh-ins took place Friday at the UFC host hotel in Miami. The same venue hosts Saturday’s event, which has a main card on pay-per-view following prelims on ESPN and early prelims on ESPN+.

This past November, Pereira stopped Adesanya with a fifth-round TKO in comeback to win the middleweight title.
