DALLAS – The interim flyweight title is up for grabs Saturday and former champion Brandon Moreno and a familiar opponent in Kai Kara-France faced off at the UFC 277 pre-fight press conference.
Moreno (19-6-2 MMA, 7-3-2 UFC) and Kara-France (24-9 MMA, 7-2 UFC) are set to co-headline the pay-per-view event on Saturday at American Airlines Center, but before they step into the cage, they shared an intense first fight week faceoff.
Moreno won the first meeting against Kara-France by unanimous decision at UFC 245 in 2019. In the rematch 31 months in the making, the stakes are much higher with a piece of the flyweight division’s title on the line and a future showdown to unify the title with champion Deiveson Figueiredo.
