The UFC returns to Texas on Saturday for its second pay-per-view of the year with UFC 271. That means the “Embedded” fight-week video series is back to document the fighters behind the scenes.
UFC 271 takes place Saturday at Toyota Center in Houston. The main card airs on pay-per-view following prelims on ESPN and early prelims on ESPN+.
UFC 271 features a middleweight title rematch between champion Israel Adesanya (21-1 MMA, 10-1 UFC) and the man he beat to win the belt, Robert Whittaker (23-5 MMA, 14-3 UFC). In the co-main event, Houston’s own Derrick Lewis (26-8 MMA, 17-6 UFC), a former heavyweight title challenger and owner of the most knockouts in UFC history, takes on Tai Tuivasa (14-3 MMA, 7-3 UFC).
The fifth episode of “Embedded” follows the featured fighters while they get ready for fight week. Here is the UFC’s description of the episode from YouTube:
Tai Tuivasa keeps his training low-key; champ Israel Adesanya and team do the opposite. Derek Brunson starts his weight cut. Jared Cannonier sharpens his mind. Athletes entertain at the presser.
