Chancellor Gene D. Block issued a statement on Tuesday outlining several immediate actions that the university will be taking to address the situation.
According to the statement, UCLA will be deploying a larger number of law enforcement officers, safety personnel, and student affairs mitigators to the area. Additionally, law enforcement has been tasked with investigating the recent acts of violence that have occurred in connection with the encampment.
Furthermore, a student conduct process has been initiated, which could result in disciplinary actions such as suspension or expulsion for those involved in the disturbances.
