Superhero fans in Sydney and Adelaide have the chance to go on the ultimate ride-sharing experience, as a way of commemorating the most important religious holiday of all: Batman Day. Thanks to Uber, fans will be able to hail a lift in the Batmobile.
As part of a unique promotion between Uber and Warner Bros. Discovery Australia to celebrate the Caped Crusader’s 85th anniversary, on September 21 the ride-sharing giant is inviting fans in Sydney and Adelaide to enjoy free rides in Batman’s iconic vehicle.
And the best part? Bruce Wayne is shouting the fare.
That’s right, the Uber trips in the Batmobile are freeeeeee.
Starting in Sydney on Friday September 20 — the day before Batman Day — fans looking to hitch a ride in one of the most famous fictional vehicles of all time simply need to open their Uber app, and keep an eye out for the Batmobile on their screens.
Trips will be made available on a first-come, first-served basis, so keep your eyes on the Uber app if you want a chance to hitch a ride with like Dark Knight!
Only catch is that the Batmobile only takes one passenger at a time, which is a small price to pay for literally getting to ride with Batman.

- Within a 5km radius of the CBDs in Sydney and Adelaide.
- Remember that you have to be near the Batmobile for it to show up on your app!

- September 20 and 21, between 11am – 3pm local time in Sydney.
- September 27 and 28, between 11am – 3pm local time in Adelaide.
The senior director of marketing at Warner Bros. Discovery Australia, Sasha Mackie, said in a statement that she is excited to give Aussie fans this opportunity for the first time.
“There is no superhero more iconic than the Caped Crusader, and no ride more iconic than the Batmobile,” Mackie said.
“Batman Day is a day where all fans are invited to celebrate all things the Dark Knight, so whether you love the movies or find your passion in the catalogue of comics, animated series and games, a trip in the Batmobile is something all fans can enjoy.”
Meanwhile, Emma Foley, managing director of Uber Australia and New Zealand, added that she is “thrilled” by the partnership, and the joy the Uber Batmobile experience will bring Batman diehards — AKA me.
