UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan met on Thursday with visiting Israeli Prime Minister Naftali Bennett at Al Shati Palace in Abu Dhabi, Emirates News Agency (WAM) reported.
Bennett offered his condolences to the president and the Emirati people on the death of Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan. He also lauded the role played by the late leader to extend bridges of communication and peace globally, WAM said.
The Israeli Prime Minister also congratulated Sheikh Mohamed on assuming the presidency of the UAE and wished him luck in achieving prosperity and development for the Emiratis.
He said that his country looks forward to working jointly with the UAE to expand cooperation for the benefit and prosperity of their peoples and the peoples of the region.
The UAE President thanked Bennett and wished stability and prosperity for the Israeli people, WAM said.
During the meeting, the UAE President and Israeli Prime Minister discussed cooperation paths and development opportunities in investment, economic, and development sectors, as well as food security and health, and other vital sectors, the news agency added.
