Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath visited Ayodhya on Saturday and reviewed the progress in the construction of the Ram temple.
Mr. Adityanath, who regularly visits the city, offered prayers at Shri Ram Janmabhoomi and met the officials of the Shri Ram Janmbhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust. “During this visit, Mr. Adityanath also enquired about the well-being of the workers and reviewed the progress of the Janmabhoomi construction work. Trust officials and others were present during this visit,” read an statement from the U.P. government.
He also offered prayers at the Hanumangarhi temple.
Mr. Adityanath held discussions with government officials on the ongoing development projects in the city. Local public representatives were also present during the CM’s visit.
The State government is giving top priority to the Ram Temple work, along with investment projects worth more than ₹32,000 crore initiated jointly by the State and Union governments for the city of Ayodhya.
Talking to reporters in Ayodhya, Mr. Adityanath said the development works in the holy city is progressing on a war footing. Various departments will complete the projects in a time-bound manner while maintaining the standard and quality of the works, he said. “It was reviewed today. I am happy that all the departments have taken their work forward on a war footing,” said Mr. Adityanath, adding that under the guidance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the government aims to establish Ayodhya as the most beautiful city while maintaining its cultural and spiritual identity.
He added, “Ayodhya is already ready for Deepavali. The holy city will also prepare itself for the grand event of January 2024 [[temple inauguration], for which the people of Ayodhya, Uttar Pradesh and the followers of Sanatan Dharma have been waiting since 500 years.”
State Agriculture Minister Surya Pratap Shahi, MLA Vedprakash Gupta and other local leaders were present during Mr. Adityanath’s visit.
