Tyson Fury vs Oleksandr Usyk likely venues after £15m Anthony Joshua claims

Tyson Fury and Oleksandr Usyk look set for a heavyweight unification bout following Anthony Joshua's reported decision to step aside.

The British Olympian would pocket £15m from the decision, which clears the slate to allow Fury and Usyk to go toe-to-toe.

A bout between the pair has increased significance as it will crown the first unified heavyweight champion of the four-belt era and there's plenty of attention.

Hopes for a unification bout stretch back to Joshua's reign as three-belt heavyweight champion, with an agreement in place with Fury for a clash in Saudi Arabia.

However, those plans fell through after a US court judge stated that Fury must honour his rematch with Deontay Wilder - who he beat in October.

Joshua's loss to Usyk pushed a unification bout further into the horizon but stepping-aside would clear the calendar for the long-awaited bout to happen.

However, although Fury's camp have reserved the Principality Stadium in Cardiff for March 26th, it's unlikely the bout against Usyk would take place on this date.

That is down to the fact that it's simply too soon for both fighters, while Cardiff in itself is unlikely to host a fight of that magnitude given the significant players pushing for a unification bout.

Saudi Arabia will once again be a leading contender for the bout, having lost the fight 12 months ago, but there's also likely to be interest from the United States - where Fury's three fights against Deontay Wilder took place.

If a fight was to take place in Britain, a summer date opens plenty of options for a stadium bout with the likes of Wembley and Tottenham's ground potential options.

Joshua has denied reports he has already accepted an offer to step-aside, saying on Monday: "Don't listen to the bulls*** from other sources. If I tell you something, you know it's real."
