Tyson Fury vs Dillian Whyte has been a saga to organise with the purse bids delayed multiple times before a fight could be agreed on January 28th.
There is set to be an 80:20 split between the Gypsy King and Whyte, with a £31 million deal agreed by Frank Warren's team for the fight where £25 million will go to his client Fury and £6 million to Whyte.
Now a further saga appears to be unfolding, with a venue now to be decided for the fight which is set to take place in April this year.
When the fight was announced it looked as though Cardiff's Principality Stadium would be the most likely destination, although it now appears that the promoters have their sights set on a London venue.
According to the Times, Wembley is now the most likely destination for the fight with its 'rich boxing tradition' cited as the main reason. West Ham's London Stadium is also mentioned as an option.
Anthony Joshua beat Wladimir Klitschko there in 2017, but in an all-British sense, few fights will have been bigger than Carl Froch vs George Groves under the arch in 2014.
The old stadium also hosted boxing with the controversial bout between Henry Cooper and Cassius Clay taking place there way back in June 1963.
Fury has not boxed in the UK since his return to the ring in 2018 and any return would be in front of an enormous crowd of up to 90,000 should Wembley be operating at full capacity for the fight.
