Tyson Fury vs Dillian Whyte is set to be one of the biggest heavyweight fights of all time in the UK and tickets sold out very quickly this morning with boxing fans clamouring for a spot at Wembley for the April 23 fight. Sales were so fast that Ticketmaster had to issue a statement to keep fans at bay with many experiencing issues.
With such high ticket sales, fans will be wondering just how much both fighters will be earning for the fight with a potentially record crowd walking through the doors of Wembley next month. The fight will take place despite Whyte's rumoured dissatisfaction with the purse split, with the Londoner missing Tuesday's press conference seemingly in protest over the split.
There will be an 80:20 split with Whyte entitled to a £3million bonus should he win the fight after Frank Warren won the bid with a £31million offer last month. Whyte's promoter Eddie Hearn could not match the figure and lost out with his bid of £26m, which would have been more favourable to the 33-year-old.

With what could be Fury's last fight after he seemed to confirm his retirement, sales immediately went through the roof, with at one point a queue of around 144,00 people waiting for tickets to the 90,000 capacity home of English football. However, this could well be a ploy to sell tickets for Fury's first UK fight since 2018.
On Tuesday, Fury said of his potential retirement plans: Fury said: "This is the final fight of my career, I'm retiring after this, $150m in the bank, healthy, young, I'm gonna buy a massive yacht abroad. I'm retiring, I'm out, this is my final fight, I'm done."
Meanwhile, he suggested that Whyte's press conference no show was an act of surrender, he said: "He has definitely shown a white flag today. All this social media stuff, 'I'm not promoting the fight, I'm not getting involved in mind games.' He's given me that much more confidence it's unbelievable. He's terrified. He's definitely showing the white flag in my estimation of this fight."
