The much awaited all-British heavyweight championship fight between Tyson Fury and Dillian Whyte has now been confirmed with Whyte signing his contract.
There have been intense discussions surrounding the agreements for the fight, with Whyte's camp demanding a higher proportion of the purse, leading to the bids being delayed multiple times.
And now it appears there remains a 'significant issues' to sort out before the fight can take place with Daily Star journalist Chris McKenna reporting that there is a problem that the WBC need to sort out.
He tweeted: " Dillian Whyte signed his contract to face Tyson Fury late last night and contracts were lodged right before the deadline but understand there is still a significant issue to overcome which the WBC needs to sort out. It is not over the line yet."
According to the Star, Fury is currently without a British Boxing Board of Control licence meaning the fight cannot be made official yet. But the Gypsy King is expected to be granted one on application.
Fury's title defence is expected to be held at Wembley Stadium on Saturday, April 23.
Whyte earned his shot at the tile with a win over Alexander Povetkin last year, becoming the WBC's mandatory challenger - he would have faced Deontay Wilder should the American have taken Fury's WBC title off him.
Whoever wins the fight is likely to take to the ring against either Oleksandr Usyk or Anthony Joshua for the undisputed heavyweight championship.
Those two have yet to have their rematch announced after Joshua rejected a step-aside deal in January for Usyk and Fury to fight for the undisputed heavyweight crown.
