Tyson Fury vs Derek Chisora fight talks underway with 'stadium sell out' eyed

Having announced that he would be retiring from boxing following his win against Dillian Whyte at Wembley in April, Tyson Fury made the announcement that he would 'unretire' for a fight against Anthony Joshua should he beat Oleksandr Usyk later this month.

Now it has been revealed that talks are ongoing for the self-styled 'Gypsy King ' could be in talks for a return to the ring against former rival and heavyweight world title contender Derek Chisora. Chisora beat Kubrat Pulev last month in a thrilling display to reignite his career after successive defeats to Joseph Parker.

Now, it has been revealed by Chisora's camp that we may see a fight between the pair take place in December following the pair's first fight which took place more than ten years ago. Fury beat Chisora to win the British and Commonwealth title way back in 2011.

This was before their contest for the European, WBO International, and vacant British heavyweight titles which took place in 2014 - one year before Fury became world heavyweight champion following a win against Wladimir Klitschko. With Fury having won both fights it would be a surprising trilogy given the top quality opposition currently being touted for Fury, 33.

However, it was revealed by the Independent that negotiations are ongoing, with Eddie Hearn confirming the same following Chisora's call-out of Fury in the wake of his win against Pulev. The news was also confirmed by a member of Chisora's team, with David Ghansa of 258 MGT speaking to the press.

Ghansa said: "Tyson’s team have indeed reached out to us about a potential fight towards the end of the year. And we have held initial discussions with more talks to be scheduled in due course.

"It would be a massive fight for the UK if we can make it happen, and a fight that we have seen sells very well in the past. I think that fight sells out a stadium in a pre-Christmas cracker.”
