Tyson Fury training "like the challenger" for Dillian Whyte world title fight

Tyson Fury is preparing as if he was the challenger ahead of his heavyweight title defence against Dillian Whyte, according to brother Tommy.

The 'Gypsy King' will make the second defence of his WBC belt at Wembley Stadium in front of a record 94,000 crowd on April 23. He recently broke cover to reassure fans his preparations are going extremely well ahead of his return to the ring following his trilogy with Deontay Wilder.

And Fury's brother Tommy, who will feature on the undercard, has claimed this is the best he has seen his heavyweight champion sibling train, and believes the strict measures have helped keep the pair focussed on their respective preparations."Tyson is Tyson, he can't wait for this fight," Fury told Queensberry Promotions when discussing his brother's showdown with Whyte.

"He thrives on big occasions and it can't get any bigger than this so this suits Tyson down to the ground. He's in full-mode, he's the best in the world so for him this is just a run-out, I don't see Whyte causing him any problems whatsoever, but Tyson is training like he's challenging for the world title all over again.

"I've never seen him work this hard. He's so regimented, he's so strict, we're in spartan mode here. I feel very, very, very sorry for Dillian Whyte on the night. We've taken ourselves off social media completely, Tyson does it most times for fights, but for myself as somebody who's very active on social media.

"I've taken myself away from it for this fight also. This is serious business, we both want to do impressive performances, put on performances of a lifetime and there are no distractions in this camp. There's no-one in this house who doesn't need to be in this camp."

WARNING: STRONG LANGUAGE

Fury broke his previously strict social media blackout to aim a KO warning to his rival Whyte who is yet to engage with the champion. Whyte has waited over 1,000 days for a shot and will go into the contest the significant underdog despite posing a powerful threat.

Rising star Tommy has confirmed the siblings will both chase statement stoppages on the night and is struggling to see Whyte providing any sustained challenge in the main event. "Everyone plays a role, everybody's got a job here in camp and if you haven't then you're not here, it's simple as that," he continued. "We're not bothered what goes on outside of the gym door.

"That's just the way it's been for two months now; eat, sleep, train, repeat. That's all we do in here, there's no pool tables or nothing, there's one TV we all watch and it's been strict. But that's why you're going to see two of the best performances you've ever seen. You're going to see the best performance out of Tyson and the best performance out of myself.

"I don't see Tyson's fight going past six rounds, myself, if I'm being honest. And I'm looking for a big dirty knockout to get back to knockout ways. That's the plan, I never go looking for it but from what I've seen myself in the gym, my power and strength I wouldn't not bet on it."
