The Gypsy King is going green after world heavyweight champion Tyson Fury was snapped trading in his Ferrari for an electric-powered Porsche on Tuesday.
Almost two weeks after beating Dillian Whyte and swiftly confirming plans to retire from boxing, the 33-year-old was seen out enjoying the fruits of his labours. At least in a more modest sense, considering the £140,000 Porsche Taycan costs almost half what he likely paid for his swapped Ferrari F12 (roughly £250,000).
That represents just a fraction of the £22million Fury earned from his Wembley win over Whyte, where he finished 'The Body Snatcher' in the sixth round. The Wythenshawe native said immediately after the fight that he was a man of his word and would honour the promise he made to partner Paris that he would hang up his gloves.
It remains to be seen whether that decision will last given Fury is yet to turn in his WBC belt. Instead, he and his wife have been preoccupied revelling in their success, such as upgrading their car collection to include the all-electric Taycan.
The fastest models of the Porsche creation can reach 60 miles per hour from a standing start in just 2.6 seconds. It can also get up to a top speed of around 160 miles per hour, which is significantly less than the F12's maximum output of 212 miles per hour.
That might reinforce the notion that Fury is ready to trade in the fast life for a more practical alternative moving forward. A modified version of the Taycan also features in Formula E as the sport's safety car.

While his boxing days may well be over, that doesn't mean Fury is done with the world of sports and entertainment. Following his win over Whyte, he pulled UFC heavyweight titleholder Francis Ngannou into the ring and teased a hybrid clash between the pair, while a return to WWE is also a possibility.
"This is the truth, the gospel truth, nothing but the truth, I'm done," he recently told presenter Piers Morgan. "You know every good dog has his day and like the Roman leader said, there will always be someone else to fight. The fans will always want more, they are always baying for more blood. But at the end of the day I don't have anything more to give."
Fury has owned multiple Ferraris as part of a collection that's also comprised a Rolls Royce Phantom, Mini Cooper and custom camouflage Range Rover over the years. Now he appears set for a departure from boxing, it's only fitting The Gypsy King rides into the sunset on a new set of wheels.
