Tyson Fury's wife Paris has contradicted her heavyweight husband by claiming he would be willing to take a further undisputed title fight.
The 'Gypsy King' successfully defended his heavyweight title against Dillian Whyte last night before confirming his plans to retire after the victory. Fury had previously dismissed a potential clash for all of the belts against the winner of Anthony Joshua's rematch with Oleksandr Usyk later this year.
However his wife Paris believes that he has conquered the heavyweight division and has nothing left to prove. She told BT Sport : "He has nothing left to prove - that's the thing, if he had anything left to do I would say Tyson, you do it. Unless he really wants to box on - for fame or money or whatever - he doesn't need that. Tyson is the most famous man on the planet tonight.
"We're very blessed and lucky to not need anymore money - I am happy with what we are and what we have. I know in my heart that the only reason Tyson would come back is for a unification fight and that would be the only reason. He has nothing left to prove."
Fury has claimed throughout the fight build-up that he would hang up his gloves irrespective of the result against Whyte. However the 'Gypsy King' scored a superb sixth round stoppage of his challenger to ease one step closer to a potential bout with long-term rival Joshua if he can defeat Usyk in their sequel.
However Fury quickly dismissed chances of facing the pair and would prefer a crossover bout against Francis Ngannou. “I couldn’t give one flying hoot or sniff about that body builder, no interest,” said Fury. “When he was an unbeaten man, not a problem, when he was a champion, not a bother, but now he has nothing to offer.
"What did he say years ago? I only want to fight the people who have the belts. All of a sudden, he doesn’t have any belts. Here’s how it goes, you heard it here first, he’s going to get busted by Usyk in the rematch if he even has the guts to take it, then he’s finished, career over.

"Three losses, goodnight Vienna, got beat by a middleweight move over. He had the opportunity to make it all go away and let me take care of his dirty washing and pay him money to do it, but he didn’t because greed got the better of him.
“They thought I was a desperate man and that I wanted to fight for the undisputed title that much, I’d give away everything. The demands these people were making were ridiculous. Out of every negative situation, something positive has happened and I’m smiling now like a Cheshire Cat.”
