Tyson Fury's secret ingredient to a good fight is a jam roly-poly during training

The secret behind Tyson Fury’s ability to always pud up a good fight is at last revealed.

The two-time world heavyweight champ’s favourite training food is… jam roly poly.

The Gypsy King’s dad John says his 33-year-old son just can’t get enough of the calorie-packed stodgy pudding when preparing for big fights. And it’s how many of the Furys roll when it comes to dessert.

Ex-boxer John – still superfit at 58 – and Tyson’s Love Island star brother Tommy, 23, all scoff it for a “turbo” boost.

Speaking to freebets.com, John Fury said: “I know what to eat when I’m fighting, and I’m still jogging 10k runs now. I do like a jam roly poly.

“It works for me. Tommy does it, Tyson does it too. It makes us go like we’ve had a turbo put in us.”

Tyson – who has announced plans to return to the ring after a retirement lasting just 52 days – isn’t the only sporting legend who is a fan of the popular British pud.

Soccer boss Harry Redknapp told of his love for it when he was in the I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! jungle.

After winning the 2018 series he was inundated with roly poly puds from fans and gave out portions to the homeless.
