Tyson Fury once said he had slept with 500 women and claimed that wild bonks help to improve his fitness and muscle tone.
The Gypsy King has become one of boxing's best entertainers during his impressive heavyweight career with his claims ranging from hilarious to completely bonkers. Both can be used to describe a tweet he posted in July 2011, which read: “Healthy tips lots of sex improves fitness and muscle tone!”
He wrote the tweet just days before his Commonwealth and British heavyweight title fight against Derek Chisora at Wembley Arena, which he went on to via unanimous decision.
Four years on from that win over Chisora, Fury revealed he had slept with 500 women during his life as he prepared for a world title bout with Wladimir Klitschko - the Daily Star reports.
Speaking to Boxing News Online ahead of the fight, Fury admitted: “I’m a liar, a cheater, a proud, vain person. Everything that’s bad I do or have done. We all make mistakes, don’t we?
"The only thing I ever regret in life is having sex before marriage. If I could erase that then my life would be practically perfect. I regret all the filth that you do with people. I must have had sex with over 500 women, more, I don’t know, I’ve lost count.
"But it’s pure filth and horribleness. I look at that now as pure disgusting. I’m not a religious person, but I like to help people and do good things. I’m stopping all the bad stuff.
"I’ve packed in the drinking and going out. I can get up now, go and take the kids somewhere on a Saturday morning rather than being in bed till 12 o’clock.”
Fury went on to beat Klitschko via unanimous decision in Dusseldorf to claim his WBA Super, IBF, WBO and IBO belts and become the unified heavyweight champion.
He is now set to defend his current titles for a second time when he faces Dillian Whyte at Wembley Stadium on Saturday night in his first fight in Britain since August 2018.
