Tyson Fury responds to Oleksandr Usyk's win over Anthony Joshua

Tyson Fury has told Oleksandr Usyk to get his chequebook out if he wants an undisputed clash.

Usyk outpointed Anthony Joshua for a second time in Saudi Arabia on Saturday night before calling on Fury to come out of his so-called retirement. Should the fight happen, it would crown the first undisputed heavyweight world champion since Lennox Lewis in 1999.

And Fury quickly took to social media to respond in an X-rated rant, saying: "I'll be honest guys, after watching that, both of them were s****. It was one of the worst heavyweight title fights I have ever seen; it was bulls***. I would annihilate both of them on the same night... f***ing s****. Get your f***ing chequebook out because the Gypsy King is here to stay forever."

A fight between Fury and Usyk could earn both men up to £100million each and would likely return to the Middle East. Sports Minister HRH Prince Abdulaziz bin Turki Al Saud has already confirmed Saudi Arabia's interest in hosting the historic bout.

“Why not?” he said. “We are open to that. We’re bidding for a lot of competitions. We want the 2034 Asian Games, which is like the Olympics for Asia. We’ve never hosted it before. We’re bidding for 2027 Asian Cup in football. We’ve won it three times, but we’ve never hosted it. We’re open to a lot of these events.

“There’s a big buzz in the city and the worst thing about these events is that the day before, everyone starts calling you for tickets, suddenly they all want to come. I would prefer it to happen at a better time because of the weather and that we could have held it in an open space, but we can use this beautiful facility we have here.

“There’s a lot of interest, especially after the first fight we had here with Joshua and with this one, and hopefully in the future if we have an even bigger fight. We saw a lot of interest from the UK, people wanting to come in and watch the fight, so there is a lot of buzz.”
