Tyson Fury offers to train Anthony Joshua for Oleksandr Usyk rematch

Tyson Fury has offered to train Anthony Joshua for his grudge rematch with Oleksandr Usyk next month. AJ lost his three heavyweight belts to Usyk at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in September, shattering hopes of a unification bout between the two Brits.

Joshua looked second best throughout the fight, as the Ukrainian simply outboxed Joshua throughout and at times looked comfortable - giving Joshua the second loss of his career.

The pair will now go toe-to-toe in a rematch in July which boxing fans are hoping will be the final hurdle before a unification bout for Fury - who has not ruled out a return to boxing after initially admitting that he would retire.

In preparation for the fight, Joshua has found a new coach in Mexican Robert Garcia, who has previously trained Kelly Pavlik and Marcos Maidana. But Fury believes it will be all for nothing unless he trains with him, telling AJ that he'll help him defeat Usyk.

He said: “Unless Anthony Joshua gets his a** up to Morecambe Bay and let me train them then he isn’t going to beat Usyk.

“One, they don’t know him. Two, they don’t know what he’s got in his engine and three he’s not a little Mexican who can go toe-to-toe for 15 rounds. If he gets on Usyk and tries to push and be aggressive he will be gassed after four, hang on for five and six and be stopped in seven.

“But if he comes up to Morecambe Bay and trains with me, I will teach him how to fight for 12 rounds and how to deal with little middleweights, he will win.

“If he wants to win, please come to the man who has never lost a fight in his life.”
