The Tyson Fury next fight could see ‘The Gypsy King’ finally face British heavyweight rival Anthony Joshua. That is unless he sticks to his retirement claims following back-to-back defeats to Oleksandr Usyk.
Tyson Fury Next Fight: ‘The Gypsy King’ Officially Retires From Boxing
Tyson Fury is undoubtedly one of the biggest names in world boxing over the past decade. The British heavyweight is a former two-time world champion, as well as being the first man to beat the fearsome American puncher Deontay Wilder.
‘The Gypsy King’ has beaten all comers in his career to date, apart from one man. Fury’s resumé is highly impressive, and consists of wins over the likes of Wilder twice, Wladimir Klitschko, Dillian Whyte, Derek Chisora three times and Francis Ngannou to name but a few.
Tyson Fury’s record is currently 34-2-1. This includes 24 wins via knockout and 10 decision victories. Not only that, but Fury has won five world title fights, losing just two of his clashes for world honours. These were of course both against Oleksandr Usyk.
Now though it seems the 36-year-old is done with boxing, having officially announced his retirement from the sport following back-to-back defeats to Oleksandr Usyk.
It remains to be seen whether Fury is true to his word and stays retired or not. We have seen ‘The Gypsy King’ retire at least three times before yet continue to come back, so a lot of boxing fans don’t actually believe he has hung up the gloves for good.
If he is serious and doesn’t fight ever again, then he has had a career to be proud of. He can forever say he was the man that dethroned Wladimir Klitschko following his decade of dominance, as well as those epic nights against Deontay Wilder, Oleksandr Usyk and many other fighters.

Could Tyson Fury Face Anthony Joshua In 2025 If He Comes Out Of Retirement?
As previously alluded to, the Tyson Fury next fight is yet to be confirmed following his rematch defeat to Oleksandr Usyk in Saudi Arabia. Although he has suffered back-to-back defeats, ‘The Gypsy King’ still has various options going forward.
One fight seems to make total sense for Tyson Fury next above all else. The all-British showdown with fierce rival Anthony Joshua.
His Excellency Turki Alalshikh has already expressed his desire to make Fury vs Joshua in 2025, despite the fight not being as big as it once was. That being said, it would still sell out Wembley Stadium and makes total sense for both men. Ultimately, both men have nowhere else to go and need the all-British clash against one another.
The Tyson Fury next fight will likely see the Brit priced as a favourite with the best UK boxing betting sites. ‘The Gypsy King’ will go in as a favourite against every heavyweight in the world bar Usyk, including Anthony Joshua. Time will tell if the fight happens in the summer, fingers crossed it does!
That being said, the 36-year-old also has some other options. A fight with world champion Daniel Dubois could be easily made, given that both fighters are signed to Frank Warren and Queensberry Promotions.
Time will tell how this all plays out in the next 12-18 months and what happens next for ‘The Gypsy King’.
One thing that cannot be denied is the fact that Tyson Fury is a modern heavyweight great and has plenty of options going forward. Fingers crossed for the ‘AJ’ clash in 2025!
