Tyson Fury has once again reversed his decision to call time on his boxing career to challenge Oleksandr Usyk. The Ukrainian beat Anthony Joshua by split decision on Saturday night to retain his WBA (Super), WBO and IBF heavyweight titles.
Fury last fought in April, defeating Dillian Whyte at Wembley Stadium. The Gypsy King has since claimed on multiple occasions he has retired from the sport.
But Fury’s plans came into question earlier this month when he indicated a trilogy fight against Derek Chisora was in planning. The two-time world heavyweight champion beat Chisora in 2011 and 2014.

That fight looks extremely unlikely but many believe that Fury is the only fighter who could challenge Usyk. Usyk, 35, showed his class with another brilliant performance against Joshua in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.
Posting on social media after the fight, Fury promised he would return to the ring: “Be honest with you guys, after watching that, both of them were s****! It was one of the worst heavyweight title fights I have ever seen. It was b*******.
“Come on! I would annihilate both of them on the same night, f***ing s****! Get your f***ing chequebook out, because the Gypsy King is here to stay forever!”
Usyk said after his victory that he wants to face Fury next or will not fight at all. The 35-year-old told Sky Sports via a translator: “I'm convinced Tyson Fury is not retired.
“I want to fight Tyson Fury, if I'm not fighting Tyson Fury then I'm not fighting at all.”
Joshua delivered a much-improved showing from his defeat to Usyk at the Tottenham Stadium in September but could not match his opponent’s intensity.
AJ said: “It's really, really hard for me to say I'm proud of myself. I'm upset, really, deep down in my heart.”
