Tyson Fury's trainer SugarHill Steward believes the heavyweight world champion is one of the most respected men in the world.
The 'Gypsy King' is currently preparing to make the second successive defence of his WBC crown against Dillian Whyte which will be staged in front of 90,000 fans at Wembley Stadium. He has become one of the household names of the sport in recent years after an epic trilogy with Deontay Wilder.
Steward believes Fury's ability to have fun while conducting his boxing business which has brought fans closer to his story. "He's definitely a star in America, he's a worldwide star and that's mainly because of the heavyweight division and his exciting fights," Steward told BT Sport Boxing. "The Wilder fights, one, two and three each one got better. He's the heavyweight champion of the world and that's often one of the most respected men on the planet.
"There's always that person to look at as being that figure for whatever reason. We have our moments [of fun], but it's like me. Right now I'm chill, but I have my moments where I'm a bit rambunctious and overblown, those moments can be switched on and off just like that. It's the same with Tyson, we like to have fun but first of all it's about business. When you're doing your job and having fun with your job, that makes it even better."
Fury remains undefeated in the boxing ring and has overcome a series of outside-the-ring issues to become the heavyweight division's leading star. The 'Gypsy King' defeated Wladimir Klitschko to become unified champion before being forced to take time out of the ring after suffering with mental health problems.
His weight ballooned to over 400lbs before he made a remarkable transformation to return to the ring and begin his American conquest. Fury has since become heavyweight champion with victory over Deontay Wilder in their epic rematch before conquering the star for a second time in a trilogy last year.
