Tyson Fury fans impressed with heavyweight's speed despite his "dad bod"

Tyson Fury fans are amazed at how quick his hand-speed and movement is despite his less-than-stellar physique just weeks out from fighting Dillian Whyte.

The world heavyweight champion will make a mandatory defence of his title against fellow Brit White later this year, with an April date seemingly pencilled in for a UK homecoming fight.

He has been training intensively with fellow heavyweight Joseph Parker and his dad John, posting a number of daily updates from the gym as he prepares for his second title defence.

And fans have been very impressed with the Manchester native's speed, despite sporting what is colloquially referred to as a "dad bod".

One wrote on Twitter : "I’ve followed Fury’s career from the early days of his first fights shown on Channel 5 to now and I never cease to be amazed at the movement and agility for someone so big.

"I must have watched this clip about 20 times already..."

One commenter noted that Fury was "literally bigger than Dubai," where he is currently visiting, and toured a number of gyms with Parker.

"He is so damn fluid for a big man it’s just crazy to watch," one said. "Big guys don’t move like that."

"Do people still judge his physique?" One fan asked in response to all of the comments. "He's never gonna have a greek god body."

Another concurred, saying "Mans a machine of technique and boxing ability, no matter the size of him. He beats Whyte for me comfortably with the slick combinations and head movement."

Finally, another added: "This dad bod is one of the baddest men on the planet."

But not everyone agreed with the sentiment, with one fan commenting "it’s shocked me how big he looks in that video," and another responding: "Yeah doesn’t bode well for an April fight."

At both locations he was mobbed by fans, and also managed to sneak in a meeting with Reshad 'Money Kicks' Belhasa, who until yesterday was in talks with Floyd Mayweather for an exhibition bout.

"There's been a lot of good fights in Dubai in recent times," Fury said of the country in an interview with Dubai Eye 103.8.

"Shout out to MTK because they've been delivering the products and you've got Probellum over here delivering even more.

"There's going to be a lot of exciting fights coming over here."

Of Whyte, he added: "I don't pay these bums too much attention - whatever I feel like on the night, any style I can beat Dillian Whyte.

"Even with one hand behind my back and one foot off the floor I still beat him."
