Tyson Fury denies spending £140,000 of Dillian Whyte fight purse on new Porsche

Tyson Fury has denied claims he has swapped his Ferrari for a Porsche just days after earning £25million for beating Dillian Whyte.

Heavyweight world champion was pictured with the £140,000 motor earlier this week as he and wife Paris threw admiring glances at the sleek convertible. It seemed the 33-year-old had upgraded his car to celebrate what he claims will be his final fight in the boxing ring.

But Fury took to social media today to claim the Porsche was merely a courtesy car while his Ferrari was being serviced. "All this about me swapping my Ferrari for an electric Porsche is bulls***," he wrote. "I'm very happy with my V12 petrol, this car was a courtesy car while my Ferrari was serviced. Call me old school."

Fury stopped Whyte in the sixth round of their heavyweight clash at Wembley last month having dominated the fight from the opening bell. He immediately confirmed his retirement from the ring despite the mouthwatering prospect of a mega-money undisputed clash against the winner of Anthony Joshua's rematch with Oleksandr Usyk.

Fury insists he is ready for a quiet life with his wife and their six children. “I’ve given 20 years to boxing, amateur and professional,” he said. “I’ve had my brains knocked about, been put down, dropped, cut, I’ve had tough fights, draws, wins, I’ve boxed all over the world.

“How much blood can you get out of a stone? I’ve given everything and put it on the line every single time and enough is enough. If it was about money I’d continue but it ain’t about money, so I’m happy.

“It’s never been about money, I’m not a money person. I know a lot of people who have money, big money, but none of them are happy, not one of them.

“Money cannot make happiness, it’s not been about belts for me, it’s not legacies, it’s not been about anything apart from punching a motherf*****’s face in on the night. All I ever want to do is win.”
