Tyson Fury demands Dillian Whyte breaks his silence on £31million world title fight

Tyson Fury has branded Dillian Whyte "a coward" for failing to respond to a deal being struck for the rivals to meet.

The 'Gypsy King' was ordered to defend his title against Whyte late last year by the WBC but negotiations rumbled on until last week.

After several delays the fight was confirmed when Fury's co-promoter Warren won purse bids with a bumper £31million offer with the fight now expected to be staged in the UK.

And Fury has now posted a video for Whyte on social media, shouting: "This is a message for Dillian Whyte. Whyte feathers. Coward. Where are you Whyte feathers? You wanted your world-title shot with Wilder for three years.

"You never got it you were mandatory for me for three minutes and you got your fight didn't you you coward. ' Tyson Fury is a coward he doesn't want to fight Dillian Whyte'.

WARNING: STRONG LANGUAGE

"Well all of a sudden it is on your toes and you have gone silent you little b****. Come out from hiding Whyte feathers. Come and get it, you are getting a good hiding.

"You wanted a bit of free money didn't you dosser, now you are getting $8million which is $7.5million too much for you, come out and say something, bum."

Whyte initially demanded around £10m for the fight, according to Fury's promoter Bob Arum.

Purse splits were ordered at 80 per cent in the champion's favour which Whyte decided to appeal via arbitration, which dragged negotiations on further.

Another stumbling block threatened to get in the way of proceedings with Fury attempting to entice Anthony Joshua to step-aside from his rematch with Oleksandr Usyk to make an undisputed clash.

But despite Joshua being willing to accept £15m, talks collapsed and purse bids took place as planned.

Warren trumped Eddie Hearn's bid in the WBC's proceedings to stage the fight and is now eyeing a date in April for the clash, with the Principality Stadium in Cardiff the venue most likely to hold the event.

Whyte has been waiting for his shot at the title since 2017 and hasn't fought since rematch victory over Alexander Povetkin last March.

He will now receive a purse of around £6m after the financial terms were settled with the champion set to receive a pay out of £22m.

Fury's promoter Arum believes Whyte could pose a tougher threat to his charge than Deontay Wilder during their three meetings.

"Whyte has a great chance because he's a big, big puncher," Arum told iFL TV.

"He's a very rugged heavyweight, a very experienced heavyweight. If anything, he poses a bigger danger to Tyson than even Deontay Wilder did."
