Tyson Fury continues training for Anthony Joshua fight amid social media silence

Tyson Fury has been trading blows with unbeaten Irish prospect Paddy Donovan as he continues to train for a potential fight with Anthony Joshua.

The 'Gypsy King' confirmed he would U-turn on his retirement plans in a bid to become undisputed champion with a fight against Oleksandr Usyk after his rematch win over Joshua. However the fight is now set to be delayed with the 'Gypsy King' instead electing to offer 'AJ' a third chance at heavyweight redemption with a title challenge.

Joshua has now accepted Fury's offer and the pair are expected to do battle on December 3 at the Principality Stadium in Cardiff providing the fight is signed and sealed. The challenger has been largely silent on the potential showdown on social media, despite showing images of himself making a return to the gym after his recent defeat last month.

Fury has been filmed by coach Andy Lee working in his gym with undefeated welterweight prospect Donovan as the pair traded blows in the ring. The WBC champion can be seen landing hammering blows into the body of the Irishman who was continuing to push on and land heavy shots of his own on the Briton who had a huge size advantage over his training partner.

The 'Gypsy King' has been working with Lee and his heavyweight counterpart Joseph Parker who was in training camp for his WBO interim title shot against Joe Joyce in Manchester this weekend. He has stayed in shape by training despite his plans to exit the sport following an undefeated career.

However he declared his intentions to meet Usyk in the ring but following talks over an undisputed title fight at a date next year, the 34-year-old decided to pursue a clash with Joshua. Fury was set to meet his British rival last year for all the marbles but the fight collapsed after he was forced to accept a trilogy with Deontay Wilder.

However he and his team are much more optimistic of the pair now being able to settle the scores with just the broadcast deal to be discussed before total agreement is reached. The WBC champion's promoter Frank Warren is reluctant to get excited about the fight taking place, but is confident that the remaining aspects of the deal can be ironed out.

He told talkSPORT: "The contracts are on their way, this fight isn't on until it's signed. I am not going to go into great detail as the last time around people made statements and it all fell apart. Everybody wants it to happen, there are not any obstacles in the way, so hopefully, very quickly we can get it over the line, but it is signed it is not on.

"There are a lot of facets to making it over the line, lawyers and broadcasters are involved. There has been an offer that could be refused but they have accepted a great offer. The basis of the deal, 90 per cent of what counts in the deal it is okay, and the other 10 per cent we have to sort out."
